The SCSHSA works to create safe, healthy, nurturing learning environments for all children in South Carolina.
Children who participate take part in fun activities which help develop educational and social skills.
Head Start is a preschool education program designed to help children ages 3 to 5 prepare for school success. Through high quality, developmentally appropriate learning experiences, children build essential cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills that support a strong transition into kindergarten and lifelong learning.
You might be eligible for free, high quality preschool and early education for your child through Head Start and Early Head Start.
